Tucked along Georgia's Golden Isles, Jekyll Island is a hidden gem - a barrier island where live oaks draped in Spanish moss shade quiet roads, and the Atlantic stretches endlessly beyond white-sand shores.
Once a private retreat for America's most storied families, Jekyll Island still carries that sense of timeless escape. We chose it for its quiet magic: the golden light at dusk, the sound of the surf, and the feeling that the whole world has slowed down.

Fly into Jacksonville (JAX) or Savannah (SAV) - both are about an hour's drive to Jekyll Island. Alternatively, connect through Atlanta to Brunswick Golden Isles (BQK), which is just 15–20 minutes from the island.

The iconic 1888 Clubhouse is the heart of the resort - beautifully restored with updated rooms and suites, riverfront verandas lined with rocking chairs, manicured gardens, and a croquet lawn that feels straight out of another era.
Three opulent Gilded Age mansion cottages sit steps from the Clubhouse, each once privately owned by America's elite. They offer grand communal living rooms, lush grounds, and a rare sense of history you can actually sleep in.
From a hot breakfast at The Pantry to fresh seafood and live music over the water at The Wharf, the resort has four dining outlets and a central bar. End the evening at The Bar with a nightcap and good stories.

From Low Country seafood to casual coastal bites - explore Tortuga Jack's, The Wharf, and dining at the Jekyll Island Club. Fresh Georgia shrimp is a must.
